This is different…as we worshipped “together” tonight, we were missing being with everyone. Here is Wren’s hymn of comfort to start Holy Week. (You are hearing 3 parts, but I am not very good with video editing…so you only see 2 parts)

Here is Wren’s Hymn of Comfort for today. Hoping that our love reflects Christ’s love and can encourage our neighbors.
We love the hymn tune, Thaxted. It was written by Gustav Holst and is the theme from Jupiter (The Planets). The tune was used to set patriotic hymns until Ralph Vaughn Williams included the theme as the tune, Thaxted, in his Songs of Praise. This is Wren’s hymn of Comfort for today.
O God beyond all praising, we worship you today and sing the love amazing that songs cannot repay; for we can only wonder at every gift you send, at blessings without number and mercies without end: we lift our hearts before you and wait upon your word, we honor and adore you, our great and mighty Lord. We went for a lovely sunset walk. All of creation was singing tonight! We were reminded just how Deep the Father’s Love is for us!
Here are some highlights from the walk.

It’s funny how this new way of living can be so busy! I need the reminder to be still tonight…
We hope you know new mercies every day! We are working to recognize the many blessings we receive each day. Music is one of the most important blessings in our home! We hope you find comfort in it too.
When I see the amazingly beautiful creatures that our Creator made and takes joy in, I know His love for me is deep! Today I was able to go for a long photography walk in a Forest Preserve. I went right after the rain stopped, and no one was around for the first hour I was there. It was just what I needed. To be outside. The birdsong chorus was amazing, and restorative. Here is some of what I saw…

Wren’s hymn of comfort today is one of our favorites. We decided to try our hand at editing a side-by-side video so she could play two parts.
Two weeks of e-learning down! Spring Break will be hard, though since it’s not a break for all of us. At least the lilac is starting to bud and crocuses are up! Sure signs that it’s getting closer to Spring!!
Wren is learning the Cello Suite…here is the Courant for the “hymns of comfort” today.
What a gorgeous day! We hope you discovered wonderful things today.
